Christine Brunella

born in 1968

I started to see the world in a special way early on. I see many things that others do not, things that very few people are able to discern.

I am autodidactic.

I taught myself how to give form to the things that I saw (differently) on paper, drawing them together with their environment.

As a discipline that forms an interface between drawing and symbols, calligraphy taught me to translate the characters and symbols into drawing, and I discovered the origin of the art in nature.

My autodidactic learning style proved to be ideal for this since it allowed me to follow entirely my own inner impulses and impetus, thus developing my unique and candid means of expression.

I have found my own distinctive, empathic approach to transposing what I see and feel into drawing.

I draw songs.

Songs of what I have seen.
